A key highlight of this role is participation in the Thunderbolt Center of Excellence (CoE), which focuses on improving software architecture, design quality, best practices, and development efficiency across Honeywell Aerospace.
Candidates will work in a global team environment, contributing to high-quality software products while continuously improving systems and processes.
- For Embedded Engineer
- Design and develop embedded software for aerospace platforms
- Participate in certification and compliance activities
- Analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions
- Contribute to embedded system design with minimal supervision
- Support development of platform software including boot loaders, BSPs, drivers, and middleware
- Work on low-level and high-level requirements development, testing, review, and integration
- For Software Engineer
- Design, develop, and test moderately complex software systems
- Work with technologies such as Oracle, Java, and web technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features
- Perform system and integration testing independently
- Debug and resolve production issues with strong root-cause analysis
- Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation
- Participate in code reviews and promote best software practices
- Drive automation and scripting initiatives to improve testing and deployment
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as DO-200B (preferred)
- For Embedded Engineer
- BE / ME in Computer Science or Electronics
- 0 to 3 years of experience in real-time embedded software or systems
- Experience in C, C++, or assembly programming
- Exposure to ROTS or bare-metal environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project goals
- For Software Engineer
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Electronics
- Aerospace Engineering
- MCA
- 0 to 1 year of software engineering experience
- Aerospace domain experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of DO-200B standards is a plus
- Embedded Engineer Skills
- Strong knowledge of Embedded Software Development
- Expertise in C and C++ programming
- Proficiency with Deos™, RTOS, Linux, or other RTOS platforms
- Familiarity with processor architectures such as ARM, Xilinx, NXP, PPC
- Experience in developing:
- BSPs
- Device Drivers (ARINC 429, RS422, RS232, Ethernet)
- Middleware and communication stacks
- Knowledge of DO-178C is an added advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
